Studies

Each semester, QUICK hosts studies on a variety of topics. Anyone can start a study in any field they want to study, and the study leader and study members build knowledge together.
There are many subfields within quantum information science, including quantum communication, quantum algorithms, quantum machine learning, quantum error correction, quantum computer implementation, and quantum sensing. Once you've learned the basics of quantum information, you'll need to study the subfields that interest you. However, if you don't have a club with knowledgeable members or don't have access to seminars, you'll need to find resources on your own. In this case, a study is a group of like-minded people who get together to find resources and help each other learn more.
The person leading the study doesn't have to know a lot about the topic! We recommend using books, YouTube lectures, and other materials as a resource for your study, because studying is an activity that you do “together”. By studying together, you can build on each other's strengths and help each other learn!
